The Oregon Trail Center
has need of our out reach talents.  If any members would care to demonstrate a skill or talent , contact your 2nd Vice Captain.

The annual Tri-County Convention will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Thayne, Wyoming. Please contact your camp captain for times and travel arrangements.  There will be a $5 charge for lunch following the convention.

The combined closing social for all Bear Lake County camps will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Montpelier LDS Stake Center at 1 p.m.  This will take the place of your May meetings.

DUP Bear Lake 2003 Honorees

DUP Bear Lake Company Honors Outstanding Members

Virtue P. Wallentine, Edyth S. Ward, Ida Hunzeker and Virginia Sneddon.

These four women were honored by the DUP Bear Lake Company at the annual Tri-County Convention May 6th, 2003 in Montpelier. They represent many years of service and dedication to the camps and company. Each was given a Commemorative Edition of “Land of the Sky Blue Water, A History of the LDS Settlement in Bear Lake Valley”.

Lisa Wallentine Named 2003 DUP Queen

Lisa Wallentine is the daughter of Bruce and Shelley Daines Wallentine of Lanark, Bear Lake, Idaho. Lisa has a quick wit and is very creative. She does a lot of creative things for younger siblings, nieces and nephews. Lisa always liked to read and study. As a result of this, as a junior in High School she received the Idaho Top Scholar Award. She graduated High School in May 2003 as the salutatorian.

She loves music and is an accomplished pianist. For Young women’s recognition award she played piano pieces for sacrament meetings in the different LDS wards. Lisa received the Ford Country Scholarship of $5000. And will be attending BYU Idaho and plans to major in engineering.
