The Oregon Trail Center
has need of our out reach talents.  If any members would care to demonstrate a skill or talent , contact your 2nd Vice Captain.

The annual Tri-County Convention will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Thayne, Wyoming. Please contact your camp captain for times and travel arrangements.  There will be a $5 charge for lunch following the convention.

The combined closing social for all Bear Lake County camps will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Montpelier LDS Stake Center at 1 p.m.  This will take the place of your May meetings.

2011 Honorees

  

 Paige Bunderson is the recipient of the $500 DUP Scholarship for 2011.  She is the daughter of Max Bunderson and Christy Jensen.  She has demonstrated her interest in the preservation and education of the history of the Bear Lake Valley by reading and gaining knowledge of the Valley and then sharing that knowledge with the public who she dealt with in her jobs with the Bear Lake Convention and Visitors' Bureau, the Bear Lake Regional Commission and the Idaho Bear Lake State Parks.  She also volunteered at the Nursing Home and visited with residents there about their ancestors' experiences in settling Bear Lake.  Paige has been accepted to BYU-I where she plans to major in emergency services and go on to medical school to become a pediatrician.

 

 

 

      K J Payne is the DUP Princess for 2011.  She is the daughter of Kelly and Julie Payne and is a 2011 graduate of Bear lake High School.  She will be attending Idaho State University in Pocatello in the fall.  She represented the Bear Lake Company of DUP in the July 4 Parade in Paris as well as the Fair Parade in Montpelier in August.
